The free BankTheFood app provides real-time updates of which items we need.

Our food bank relies on your goodwill and support

Over 90% of the food distributed by food banks in the Trussell network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

We always welcome donations and use them to provide support to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby food banks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages.

It's natural that the first thing anyone thinks to donate to a food bank is food, but toiletries and hygiene products are also extremely important. See below a list of items we need.

Food donations

You can donate items during your supermarket shop or by dropping them off at one of our donation points. All contributions are collected and delivered to us, where they’re carefully packed into emergency food parcels.

Please note: Asda collection points are intended for food that has been purchased in-store. Any food that has been purchased in a different store and brought into the Asda collection point store should be sealed prior to donation and clearly labelled as having been purchased elsewhere

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
